Top Tips for waxing…
How long does the hair need to be?
Making sure your leg hair is the right length before you begin is important too. If you have recently shaved your legs wait around a week, however after a wax, we recommend 3-4 weeks depending on your hair type.. It can be difficult to wait around for hair to grow long enough, but it’s so worth it.. weeks of hair free legs? Yes Please!
What should I wear?
Try and avoid wearing tight fitting clothing on the day of your waxing appointment as this can irritate your skin. Also try not to put any perfumed products on the area as this will cause irritation. After you undress, we ask you to lay on the bed with a towel placed over your middle, (even if its just your legs, so that you dont feel exposed sat without your trousers on) if you are just having your legs waxed, and feel a bit shy, simply wear a skirt, and you wont have to undress at all!
Worried about Pain?
First off try to avoid scheduling your wax appointment in the two to three days before or after your period. Skin is more sensitive during this time and if you find you’re really sensitive it also helps to take an anti-inflammatory such as ibuprofen about an hour before waxing.
Exfoliating works wonders when waxing. It helps prevent ingrown hair and stops the build of dead skin cells which makes skin dry and dull (and stops you from having that amazing tan!)
Moisturising is key as well as this keeps skin silky smooth.
